Arnold Gross Gallery & Cafe

In 2014, the GROSS ARNOLD GALLERY & CAFE—also known as ARNOLDO—opened in Budapest at 46 Bartók Béla blvd., in the cultural district of Újbuda, Budapest. The atmospheric space, which commemorates the art and playful personality of Arnold Gross, was initiated and opened by the artist himself, shortly before his death.

Arnold Gross (1929–2015) was a graphic artist, innovator of the etching genre and one of the best known and most popular artists in Hungary. Generations have grown up with his drawings and colour etchings. He was a defining figure in 20th century Hungarian art and the visual culture of the country.
