Pap Wines label design
PAP WINES boutique winery has been making its volcanic wines from the basalt-rich volcanic soil of St. George Hill since 2017. The owners Áron Molnár and Karina Vissonova—whom cultivate the 3.8 hectares of biodynamically farmed land in the south-east—produce limited number of low-sulphur, additive-free, barrel-aged wines. Karina and Aron asked me to facelift the winery's previous labels in 2020. Combining the character traits of St. Georg Hill—the Lengyel Chapel, the basalt towers, the mountain's distinctive silhouette and the bird on the winery's logo—a clean but playful wine label was created. It looks more elegant on the Italian bottles that slightly larger than usual.
