Quiar Winery Branding
Quiar Birtok winery was founded by Tamás Sipőcz in 2015, ulfilling his dream. His aim is to introduce Balatonfőkajar, a nationally outstanding wine-producing location, to the public with the help of his wines of outstanding quality, produced organically and from his hand-cultivated vineyards. He believes that top-quality wines can only be made organically, respecting local traditions, but by using the latest technical and scientific results. Balatonfőkajár, part of the Balatonfüred-Csopak Wine Region, has had a significant vineyard culture since Roman times. The vines, grown on gentle slopes on special quartzfillite rock, give the wines there a unique, spicy flavour. Welshriesling, the main variety around the Lake Balaton is their belief. It can produce light wines for social occasions and also very serious terroir wines thanks to its neutral character. You can taste both styles at the cellar of Quiar Birtok. Their aim is to show the terroir characteristics in the wines,so besides the organic approach, in the cellar they do not use additives and they only ferment spontaneously with native yeasts. They do not use wooden barrels for white wines to be able to feel the fruit and the terroir in the wines.
